SOUL MATES

This is the 3rd installment to my Wall of Rocky. To me, Rocky was a love story that entangled many different entities. His life was all over the place, but the thing that made the most sense to him was the woman in his life. Even though he lost his first fight with Appollo, he had the best prize of all..."Yo Adrian"!!

This is my 3rd Rivoli/Rocky piece, I recommend his work highly. I also have 'Alone in the Ring' and 'Yo Rock'. I can't pick my favorite, but I will say that I like this one in person even more than I expected I would. John even offered to dedicate it and it added the perfect touch. If you like Rocky and/or Sylvester Stallone and on the fence about any of John's work, you can't go wrong. Just go for it! :)

This is my favorite. I have it framed in my bedroom and it's such a beautiful and heartwarming embrace. John captures this moment so beautifully with just the right amount of color. I have always felt like this was Rocky's moment of real victory in life and in love. Adrian appears to be breathing Rocky in physically and emotionally. Fine piece of art that touches my heart like no other!
