This original artwork is inspired by an actual ROCKY II poster from 1979 that was a photograph. I used the composition as inspiration to recreate my own interpretation as a digital painting. This classic scene captures the point in the fight when Rocky starts to gain ground on Apollo Creed — “a meek, salt of the earth man, assaulting the giant with all his might.”
